Normally we have quite mild winters nowadays.
Temperature seldom falls below -6 or -7 degrees Celsius. If it's due to global warming of natural variations I don't know but, as I remember it, we had more snow in the 60's and 70's.

In february 2005 the temperature fell to -16 °C serveral nights. That was when we began to feed the two kittens in the neighbourhood. Sadly only one of them pulled through. He now weights 6 kg (!) and sleeps in our bed.

March 2006
The two last winters, however, we have had a lot more snow than in many years. In March 2006 we had 64 cm (2 feet) of snow in the middle of the north lawn.
The landscape here is flat so the wind causes snowdrift. At places there was more than one and a half meter of snow across the road to Malmö. We couldn't get to work in three days! That's why we changed to 4WD this year.

What to do when it looks like this? Make sure the cat gets indoors! Then curl up in front of the fireplace with the cat, a book and a cup of cocoa (or something stronger) and wait for spring!
